Seussical practice
Last night we held a joint Seussical practice at our house. Ammon sang the Horton parts, Caleb sang the Jojo parts, Emma sang the girl parts and everybody sang the ensemble parts. Micah had the special role of being the egg and turning into the elephant bird, "It looks just like me, except for the wings." We did it to help Ammon work on his notes and emotional reactions, but it ended up being such a fun thing and we were just laughing and the emotion was all very real. There is a real power in music that bonds people and helps ease as well as create feelings. We may not be great singers, but we are definitely great "emoters."
