Last night's opening was a strange opening night. We started early with the Channel 2 weatherman coming to the stage and broadcasting the 5 and 6 o'clock weather from the amphitheater. We all got to be onstage and perform a little of our show for the TV. Steve recorded it and it was darling. Since we were there early and show ready, we had Steve stop by Costco on his way and pick us up a pizza. So, we sat in the park in our costumes and ate pizza. It was super fun. The weatherman wasn't too full of good news, but he was accurate. A big storm came through at about 8:30 and there was no covering everything that needed covered. They ended up calling the show and we went home early. We came home and watched the broadcast and went to bed at a decent hour. It was still fun.
There are still lots of chances to see the show though, and the weather forecast is good from here on out. It is at the Murray Amphitheater, June 17-25, except Sunday, tickets are available at the door. It is a fabulous show with solid, glorious leads, beautiful costumes and sets, and some never-before seen plates.

Thanks again for letting me know about the show. My friends and I really enjoyed it! You and your kids were great out there, and it was fun to see you again. The play was wonderful in every way, and I encouraged as many people as I could to go Friday night. Hope closing night was a good one, and the set and prop breakdown went quickly!
